I was born and raised on the island of Jamaica to parents Maisie Reid and James Anderson. My first introduction to the Adventist message came at the tender age of five, when my cousin took me to the Success Seventh-day Adventist Church on his motorcycle. It is this church along with good parental upbringing that formed the foundation of my life.
My first introduction to public speaking came at the age of eight when I was selected to play the role of the boy who provided Jesus with the five loaves and two fishes. The church continued to mold me and teach me about the love of Jesus and at the age of 12 I gave my life to the Lord. At the age of 13 I preached my first sermon. This would soon become a ritual as I would often preach for Children's Day programs and Youth Sabbaths.
By the age of 17 I migrated to Hartford, CT and attended Hope SDA Church. There I became a youth leader. I, however, was not convinced that full time ministry was for me so I studied Business Management at Central Connecticut State University and graduated in 2009. By 2010 the calling of God became intense and I enrolled in Andrews Theological Seminary and graduated in 2013.
Upon graduation I returned to Harford, CT where I aided Pastor Alphod Sinclair at the Hope SDA Church in planting Joy Mission Center where I served as an Elder until I was called to the Hanson Place SDA Church.
In 2012 I married the former Nickeisha Turner and in 2015 we had our first child, Nathanael Anderson.
I am grateful that God has chosen me to do His work and I strive to make Him proud in everything I do. I love helping people and leading them to God and I’m happy that I am called to do this for the rest of my life.
